Leadership

I have experience in both design and construction. That gives me an edge when navigating the project completion process.

While working for a developer, I handled all aspects of commercial land development, ranging from conceptual design through construction. I developed full design packages entailing site layouts, utilities,  and stormwater management. I also managed the outsourcing of projects to engineering firms from start to finish. I managed the permitting process of projects in 12 states at a local, county, state, and federal level. Management of the construction process ranged from issuing contracts to contractors to monitoring site work progress. I focused on small to medium sites.

My municipal design experience focused on wastewater and stormwater management. I designed wastewater pump stations in northeast Ohio and helped municipalities comply with the State’s MS4 requirement of the NPDES permit. I inspected dozens of culverts as part of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District’s Stormwater Management Master Plan. I also worked on a regional stormwater upgrade in Huntington, NY to address problems with flooding.

I spent over 5 years performing on-site inspection and administration in heavy highway construction. I worked on bridge widening and rehab projects, roadway construction, retaining walls, and drainage projects.

I am currently a registered professional engineer in Indiana, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. I am also a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering in Brooklyn, NY in 2001. I am also a proud Technite, having received a Civil Engineering Diploma from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1997.

I have enjoyed contributing to my community throughout the years. I served 6 years on the Planning and Zoning Commission of Canfield, OH. I also currently serve on the Canfield’s Community Reinvestment Area Commission, with the goal of increasing economic development. I have also spoken before dozens of high school students, teaching about civil engineering and why it is a worthwhile career choice.

I love to read. Biographies are my favorite because I can see the ups and downs of life through the eyes of others in history. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY and I currently reside in northeast Ohio with my wife and 5 children.
